Niko and the Cubic Curse was created by Josh Rieg (@DaNovaFRFX). Josh has been passionate about wanting to make games for as long as he can remember. When he entered High School, he began making a ton of different games to explore creative ideas. Some of his projects are still available to play on GameJolt. Niko and the Cubic Curse is his first endeavor in developing and publishing a game on Steam!

Why make games?
Video Games as a medium has helped many people in many different ways. They can be stress relievers, life lessons in ways you wouldn't expect, or even be a way to fight mental struggles like anxiety and depression. A huge inspiration to Rieg was the 2018 Indie Game "Celeste" by Matt Makes Games. This game had a huge focus on the struggles of depression and visibly shows the players what a panic attack is like.
Experiences that go beyond being fun is what Josh Rieg strives to create. Working on games is more than just a job. It's a passion and art form.
